Why UCI: I was immediately touched by the residents' warmth and positivity, even with a demanding schedule. The attendings/administration appeared to prioritize resident learning through didactics, and had an impressive amount of patience. Another reason why I chose CHOC is that I love being in a stand-alone children's hospital with all the pediatric specialists in one place, so I get to see different potential pathways for me after residency.
